Weekend Wrap Up

First of all, thank you SO MUCH for all of the support during the website launch! It has been so humbling and exciting to hear your kind words and I'm so excited there are already so many entries in the Mrs. Box Giveaway! If you haven't entered, check my post from last week for details.

Since we're all getting to know each other, I just need to establish this now: I am obsessed with reading blogs! When I first get to work in the morning I grab my coffee and scroll through a few of my favorites before tackling the day's to-do list.  My husband always makes fun of me because we've had multiple conversations along these lines:

Me: Hey babe,  Katey recommended this restaurant, we need to check it out next time we're in Dallas

Micah: Remind me who Katey is again?

Me: This girl whose blog I follow who I've never actually met but she's the cutest thing and loves Jesus and likes queso so I'm sure we'd be BFF's...

Wow. Embarrassing.

Anyway - I love reading weekend wrap-up posts from my favorite bloggers, so I thought it might be fun to do a quick one of my own today! Here is what Micah and I were up to this weekend:

1. All of the graduations.

Micah and I are really involved with the youth ministry in our church, and we both teach the high school Sunday school classes. It has seriously been the best experience and I feel like all the girls in my class are like my little sisters. I'm SO grateful that we've been able to learn from each other (seriously - I think they teach me more than I teach them...) and it's been so bittersweet seeing them graduate! We went to a graduation and graduation party on Friday, and we have one more graduation ceremony tonight.

2. And then the graduation party.

About a week and a half ago, the mother of the groom from a wedding I did last summer contacted me about putting together a graduation party for her youngest daughter. We were able to pull together all of the details in about a week, and the party turned out beautifully! They have the most beautiful home in the Mesta Park area of Oklahoma City and it was an absolute dream getting to stage everything on such a stunning backdrop. Of course, I took absolutely zero pictures. Lesson learned, for sure.

3. Sleepy Sunday

After a family dinner, errands, graduation and graduation party on Friday followed by a full day of prep and setup for the graduation party on Saturday, Micah and I were completly worn out by Sunday. After church, we grabbed lunch from one of our favorite Mexican spots and spent the rest of the day resting and getting prepped for the week ahead. While our Sunday adventures aren't always the most exciting, it's one of my favorite parts of the week. I feel 100x better about starting a new week when I'm rested, organized and sleeping on clean sheets ;)

Takeaways from this weekend:  Take more pictures - and by "more pictures" I mean literally any pictures. I'll be better next time!
